Microsoft 365 is a subscription that includes the most collaborative, up-to-date features in one seamless, integrated experience. Microsoft 365 includes the robust Office desktop apps that you’re familiar with, like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. The BoilerTV cable channels are available in most residence halls (Meredith South and Griffin North are 'stream only' residences). If you bring your own TV for your room, you can connect your TV to the cable outlet and then enter your TV's menu and run a channel search or the TV set up process. Purdue has licensed Office 365 from Microsoft to make it available for free on an individual basis to students, faculty and staff, including use on their personally owned machines. Install Office 365 To install Office 365 on your computer, visit the Purdue Office 365 portal. Sign in with your Purdue email address and password. Email system for Purdue faculty and staff. What is going on?

Purdue's on premise Exchange email is moving to Microsoft's Exchange Cloud service. Details can be found at: https://www.itap.purdue.edu/email/migration.html (Includes a schedule)

When?

EVPRP and Discovery Park: Week of March 18th
Engineering & the Polytechnic: Week of April 1st

Consider that you may be moved at a slightly different schedule based on your appointment, eg: You may work in ABE, but might belong to the College of Agriculture, in which case you would move week of March 1st.

What do I need to do?

Wait for your email to migrate. Do not fall for phishing emails with links - actively type out URLs or settings, rather than clicking on any link. If you are using Outlook on a PC managed by us, settings should automatically change. If you are using any other clients, see bullet #2, 3 and 4 below

Get Firefox, a free web browser backed by Mozilla, a non-profit dedicated to internet health and privacy. Available now on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. Firefox -kiosk -private-window '& sleep 10 xdotool search -sync -onlyvisible -name firefox key F11 This will launch Firefox with the desired URL. Then, after ten seconds (you might need a bit more if it takes a longer time to start Firefox) xdotool will set focus to Firefox and hit the F11 key. Thank you for your answer. As user 'cor-el' wrote, this only prevents that (in full screen mode by pressing the F11 key) the FireFox menu appears if you move the mouse to the top of the page. FireFox however starts in normal mode and not in full screen (kiosk) mode, you still have to press the F11 key. Kiosk mode locks down Firefox in order to protect the kiosk from users. This is specifically relevant to, but not only limited to scenarios where the device is publicly accessed from libraries, vending machines or public transportation. Key characteristics of the Firefox Enterprise Kiosk mode: 1. Runs in full screen mode by default 2. All menus, awesome bar and toolbar are not visible as well as tabs 3. Firefox kiosk. Description OpenKiosk is a cross platform kiosk web browser based on Mozilla Firefox that can be easily installed and used to secure a computer for use as a public terminal. This is a complete solution for any kiosk installation. This software is released under the MPL 'as is' with no warranty or support.

AFTER your account has been moved, we have discovered that the following changes will need to be made:

1 The URL to check email via the web will be: https://outlook.office365.com . If you wish to continue using owa.purdue.edu, you may need to clear your cache.

2 Your login changes from onepurdueyourlogin to yourlogin@purdue.edu (use your login even if you have a secondary email address - eg smithw99@purdue.edu instead of FreshPrinceOfBelAir@purdue.edu)
